This site is used by workers, families and students from five countries and many languages and religions. These rules keep it safe and useful for everyone. Posts or comments that break them are removed.
1. Respect every nationality and religion
No insults based on country, religion, caste, language, region, gender or skin colour. Political and religious arguments between communities are not allowed here. Disagree with an idea, never attack the person.
2. Never ask for or offer money for a job
Job posts must be free to apply to. Any post that asks a worker to pay a fee, deposit, “visa cost”, “processing charge” or commission will be deleted and the account blocked. Genuine employers and licensed agencies pay recruitment costs, not workers.
3. Protect personal documents
Never post photos or numbers from a passport, visa, iqama, ID card, bank card, salary slip or ticket — yours or anyone else’s. Cover all numbers and names before sharing a screenshot. Do not post another person’s phone number without permission.
4. Follow the law of the country you are in
Gulf countries have strict rules about public criticism, alcohol, drugs, gambling, unlicensed work, unlicensed money transfer and content about religion or rulers. Do not post anything that could put you or another reader at legal risk. We remove such content to protect our members.
5. No scams, no spam, no medicine sales
No money-doubling schemes, crypto tips, lottery messages, chain messages, fake charity collections, prescription medicine sales or links to pirated content. One post is enough; do not repeat the same message in many boards.
6. Write so a newcomer can understand
Use simple sentences. If you write in Hindi, Urdu, Bengali, Nepali, Sinhala, Tamil or Malayalam, please add a two-line English summary if you can, so members from other communities can help you too.
7. Say where your information came from
When you share a rule, fee or deadline, say where you read or heard it. “My friend said” is fine — just say so. Never present a rumour as an official rule; people make expensive decisions based on what they read here.
8. If you are in danger
If your passport is held, you are not being paid, you are being threatened, or you are stuck without food or shelter, do not wait for community replies. Contact your embassy or your country’s labour welfare office immediately, and the local police in an emergency. See Help & Emergency Contacts.
